Mission in Marathwada
Marathwada has been for years together, a totally backward, neglected region. Not much attention was paid towards education by the earlier rulers of Marathwada who passed orders from places in Hyderabad. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar personally visited Aurangabad several times and decided to extend the education facilities undertaken by the People's Education Society, to this backward region.
This great P.E.S. society made pioneering efforts in carrying the light of knowledge and learning to the doors of the common and the poor, who have been enveloped, hitherto by the darkness of ignorance for centuries together.
Educational Philosophy
The People's Education Society derives its inspiration from the teaching and philosophic ideas of the Lord Buddha. It believes in the principles of social justice and equality. Its primary aim is to promote higher education among the backward and poorer people in general and the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward classes in particular.
Motto: "KNOWLEDGE AND LOVE"
